Middle School Trip
Ark Encounter & Creation Museum Trip
Beginning Fall 2026, King’s Academy is launching a new travel experience designed specifically for middle school students: a 4‑day educational adventure to the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum in Kentucky. This year’s trip is open to grades 7–9, and beginning in future years, it will run every other year for grades 7–8.
This experience invites students to explore how science, Scripture, history, and faith intersect, bringing learning to life in a way that aligns beautifully with our mission and vision.
Students will travel by private motorcoach with American Christian Tours (ACTs) and will be accompanied by King’s Academy staff chaperones. Our group will have a dedicated ACTs guide throughout the trip.
- Dates: October 7–11, 2026
- Grades: 7–9 (launch year)
- Future Rotation: Every other year for grades 7–8
- Capacity: Up to 30 students
- Minimum Required: A minimum number of students is needed to proceed
- Chaperones: At least two staff chaperones; additional adult participants may be considered if needed
2026 Pricing
$1,359 per student (based on 4 students per room)
Includes:
- Transportation
- Hotel for 3 nights
- 3 breakfasts, 1 lunch, 3 dinners
- All admissions, fees, and gratuities
- Night security at the hotel
- Spots are filled on a first‑come, first‑served basis.
Proposed Itinerary
Wednesday, October 7th: Depart for Cincinnati, OH
Thursday, October 8th
- Smale Riverfront Park — gardens, carousel, giant piano, public art, riverfront views
- Harriet Beecher Stowe House — explore the home and abolitionist impact of the author of Uncle Tom’s Cabin
- Ark Encounter — walk through a full‑size replica of Noah’s Ark with three floors of immersive exhibits
Friday, October 9th
- Creation Museum & Planetarium — exhibits, galaxies, nebulae, and biblical creation
- Raptor’s Nest Aerial Adventure — over 35 aerial challenges, zip lines, and free‑fall elements
- BB Riverboats Cruise — guided river cruise with historic commentary
- Main Event Entertainment Center — dinner plus bowling, laser tag, arcade, ropes course, and more
Saturday, October 10th: Depart for home
Registration & Capacity
We can welcome up to 30 students, and registration is first‑come, first‑served. A minimum number of students is required to move forward. If needed, the planning team may consider opening the trip to 6th graders. Families will receive information about upcoming trip meetings, packing lists, and final details once registration is confirmed.
Looking Ahead
This is the first year King’s Academy is offering a middle‑school travel experience, and we are excited to build a tradition that rotates with our Washington, D.C. trip for grades 9–10. Both experiences help students engage their minds, hearts, and faith in new ways, strengthening friendships, deepening understanding, and building lifelong memories.
