Costa Rica
Every year, King’s Academy juniors and seniors have the opportunity to participate in a transformative Costa Rica Missions Trip, led by Mr. Gotta and supported through our long‑standing church partnership in the region. This experience has become one of the most meaningful traditions in our high school program, shaping students spiritually, relationally, and globally.
During the trip, students stay with local host families, giving them a firsthand experience of Costa Rican hospitality, culture, and everyday life. Throughout the week, they serve alongside the church to meet real needs in the community, from painting projects and cleaning initiatives to evangelism outreach, children’s camps, and other ministry opportunities.
A Life‑Shaping Experience
The Costa Rica Missions Trip is a strategic milestone in the lives of our upper‑class students. It:
- Builds deep community within the junior and senior classes
- Creates lasting memories and shared experiences
- Expands students’ understanding of God’s work around the world
- Helps them see themselves as image bearers called to serve
- Broadens their compassion, perspective, and sense of purpose
This trip consistently becomes a life‑changing experience, one that aligns beautifully with our mission: Because every student has value as an image bearer of God, we provide opportunities to grow in wisdom, build healthy relationships, and serve our community. And it reflects our vision: We are an educational community that supports and develops one another in a lifelong journey of knowing Jesus.
We are grateful for our ongoing partnership in Costa Rica and for the way God continues to use this trip to shape the hearts of our students.
