King's Academy Washington, D.C. Experience
Every other year, King’s Academy high school students have the opportunity to step beyond the classroom and into the living pages of American history through our Washington, D.C. Experience. Our next trip will take place Fall 2027 and is open to students in grades 9 and 10.
This journey invites students to explore our nation’s most significant historical sites while viewing each moment through the lens of a biblical worldview, connecting what they learn in school with who they are becoming in Christ.
Learning History Where It Happened
Throughout the trip, students visit landmark locations such as:
- The U.S. Capitol
- The Lincoln Memorial
- Arlington National Cemetery
- The Holocaust Museum
- The Museum of the Bible
Standing in these places brings history to life. Students see firsthand the stories, sacrifices, and ideas that shaped our country, deepening their understanding of justice, leadership, courage, and human dignity.
A Christian Worldview in Every Moment
What makes this trip truly meaningful is the way students are encouraged to reflect on each site from a biblical perspective. Guided discussions and moments of prayer help students consider:
- God’s hand in history
- The value of every person as an image bearer
- How faith shapes leadership and responsibility
Students return home with deeper understanding, stronger friendships, and a renewed appreciation for the freedoms and responsibilities we hold as followers of Christ.
Looking Ahead
The Washington, D.C. Experience is offered every other year, giving each student the chance to participate during their high school journey. Our next trip will take place Fall 2027 for grades 9 and 10.
